02012 has arrived!

It’s been quite a while since I last logged onto here, and I was instantly greeted by no fewer than twenty-four spam comments that had been building up. Usually, they would bother me, but a couple of them are simply fantastic!

Aprpaently this is what the esteemed Willis was talkin’ ’bout.
Crateed the greatest articles, you have.
This artclie keeps it real, no doubt.
Ab fab my godoly man.
Dude, right on there brthoer.

Admittedly, you do have to look past the horrible spelling errors (I’m not sure what a godoly man is, but I sure am pleased to be one), and the second comment appears to have come from someone who was taught to speak by Yoda, but aren’t they nice!

I’ve returned to Sheffield now. Sadly, rather than a series of handwritten messages of badly spelt support, the only thing that surprised me in this room was a dead wasp on the windowsill. Weakling. There’s a spider above our front door that’s been alive since we moved in.

Exams are looming on the horizon, but I’m looking forward to the challenge. Coincidentally, the opening exam ‘Combinatorics’, the study of number patterns and combinations, brings together all the best partnerships you could want from an exam – in the afternoon, easily reachable (no horrible treks to Hillsborough this time!), and a subject that I really, really enjoy.

Anyway, I’m meant to be getting on with some revision, but I can procrastinate in far better ways than writing this blog, so I’d best get to it. Till next time!

So is the wasp dead? Maybe he is hibernating since you poor students turned the heating off!
Indeed the return to Sheffield has left many issues with what dead insects or worse still ‘Live’ creatures are in your room at home, I shall venture in there soon with some fly spray and cleanse the room ready for your next visit home.

You best check that swing bin in the kitchen at Sheffield, when we collected you before Christmas it seemed to be making a noise all on its own.

Good luck with the revision/exams, Combinatorics sounds like a winner to me.
You can always stay as a godoly man if the exams fail you.
